No child should be hungry.
That’s why we feed kids on the weekends in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Weekend Meals
Our #1 goal is to end child hunger on weekends in our community. That’s why we partner with organizations in Lincoln to feed kids meals on the weekends.

Food & Care Pantries
We keep our pantries stocked to help kids get what they need for home, whether it is nutritious food, or a toothbrush and toothpaste from the personal care pantry.

School Supplies
In our Back-to-School program we work with partners to provide kids with backpacks, clothes, and the supplies they’ll need to be successful in school.
Our Story
In October 2016, we learned that there were children who did not have anything to eat on Saturday and Sunday at a local Lincoln community center. We Can Do This was launched to feed them.
Many children tell us this is the only meal they eat that day.
Since then, we have expanded our programs to give our kids what they need, from food and personal care items to school supplies and backpacks — and more. Above all, we give them love, caring, understanding, and trust.

Changing a Child’s Life
It takes a community—all of us working together—to provide services to our kids. Individual volunteers and groups are always welcome and needed to serve weekend meals. But there are many other ways to get involved. Learn how you or your organization can make a difference in the lives of children and youth.
